This notice explains which cookies, pixels and similar tools kovaphoto.com uses, what they're for and how you can choose. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What cookies and pixels are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Pixels and tags are snippets of code that tell a platform when you visit a page or submit a form. We also use your browser's local storage, for example so the quote builder doesn't lose your answers.

Some tools send events from our server instead of your browser (the Meta Conversions API and the TikTok Events API). They follow your advertising preference exactly: if you turn it off, they aren't sent either.

Types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

They make the site work and keep it secure: protection against bots and attacks, remembering your cookie choice and saving your quote builder answers in your browser. They can't be turned off from the panel, but you can block them in your browser; some parts of the site may stop working.

Analytics

They tell us how many people visit the site, which pages they view and how they arrive, so we can improve it. They don't include your name, email or phone.

Advertising

They let Google, Meta and TikTok measure whether our ads work and show Kova ads to people who visited the site. These platforms may combine this information with what they already know about you, under their own policies.

Tools and cookies

Strictly necessary

  • Cloudflare (site security and delivery): cookies such as __cf_bm and cf_clearance, to tell people from bots. Duration: 30 minutes to a few days.
  • Kova (preferences): kova_consent, which stores your cookie choice for 12 months.
  • Kova (quote builder): browser local storage with your answers until you send or clear them.

Analytics

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google): _ga and _ga_* cookies, to count visits and measure site use. Duration: up to 2 years.

Advertising

  • Google Ads (Google): conversion tag and _gcl_au cookie, to measure the results of our Google ads. Duration: about 90 days. If we use enhanced conversions, email or phone are sent hashed.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta): _fbp and _fbc cookies, to measure and show our ads on Facebook and Instagram. Duration: about 90 days.
  • Meta Conversions API (Meta, from our server): sends events such as form submissions or bookings, with email and phone hashed (SHA-256).
  • TikTok Pixel (TikTok): _ttp cookie, to measure and show our ads on TikTok. Duration: up to 13 months.
  • TikTok Events API (TikTok, from our server): sends similar events, with hashed data.

Third-party content

  • Studio map and embedded videos: they load only when you choose to view them, and may set their own cookies from that point.

We don't use analytics or advertising tools in your private gallery, on the Delete my data form or on pages or forms directed to minors. We never send these platforms minors' names, ages or photos, or health data.

How to choose

  • Preferences panel: you'll see a notice on your first visit. After that, open "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page or use the button above to turn analytics and advertising on or off at any time.
  • Until you choose, we only use strictly necessary cookies.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser or extension sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of ad tracking. Advertising stays off in that browser and we don't send your data to the Meta Conversions API or the TikTok Events API.
  • Your choice is saved in this browser and on this device. If you clear cookies or use another browser, we'll ask again.
What is Global Privacy Control

Browser controls

You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser's privacy settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge or others), and use private browsing. Blocking all cookies may stop some parts of the site from working, such as the quote builder.

The "Do Not Track" signal in some browsers has no common standard; that's why we honor the GPC signal, which does.
