Your dress
- Light fabrics and tulle layers look beautiful in the breeze; very heavy gowns or long trains are hard on narrow decks
- Wear your own dress or one from our collection; we'll recommend the right one for being on board
- Bring a wrap or light jacket for when the sun goes down
Hair, makeup and shoes
- Updos or half-up styles, with tiaras pinned securely so the wind can't take them
- Long-wear makeup that holds up to heat and humidity
- Many boats ask you to board barefoot or in soft-soled shoes: bring flat sandals and switch to heels only for posing, if the crew allows it
- Sunscreen, sunglasses and water for the ride
Safety
On the Water, Safety Comes First
A beautiful photo is never worth more than your family's safety. These are the rules for every yacht session.
- A licensed captain is always in command. Kova takes the photos and never operates the boat
- The maximum number of guests is set by the vessel, not by us. For larger groups, we use a vessel authorized to carry that many passengers
- There are life jackets on board for every guest, and young children wear theirs while the boat is moving
- Key poses happen with the boat stopped, anchored or docked. No one poses on railings or in areas the crew hasn't cleared
- Minors are accompanied by a parent or guardian, who signs the partner's waiver
- We head out in time for sunset and return to the dock with enough light
- The captain has the final say on weather and route. In storms or strong wind, we reschedule per to be confirmed
