The best light at Fairchild
Tree cover gives us more flexibility than an open spot, but low sun is still the most flattering. We fit the timing to the slots the garden allows.
- Morning: fresh light, saturated greens and less heat for little ones.
- Mid-afternoon: we work in the rainforest areas, where the shade is even.
- Season: winter and spring are usually drier; summer brings more humidity and mosquitoes, so we pack repellent.
What to wear at Fairchild
Against so much green, colors with personality look stunning. Skip olive or khaki, which disappear into the background.
- Pink, coral, butter yellow, red or crisp white.
- Light fabrics that move in the breeze: chiffon, tulle, linen.
- For families: a palette of two or three coordinated colors, no big prints.
