The building faces the bay to the east, so morning sun comes in head-on and late day leaves the veranda in open shade. We choose the time based on which areas can be used that day.

  • Early morning: fresh light on the bay and a quieter park.
  • Late day: open shade under the veranda and colorful skies over the water.
  • Season: November to April is cooler and drier; from May to October the building's shade helps with the heat, and we plan around showers.
