The Barnacle is a historic state park in the heart of Coconut Grove. Its house, built in 1891 by pioneer and yacht designer Ralph Munroe, is the oldest home in the county still standing on its original site.

From shade to horizon
The trail gives soft shade and the bayfront lawn gets open light. We move between them depending on the hour; the exact time depends on what the park allows, and we plan it with you when you book.

- Afternoon: the lowering sun sends rays through the trees on the trail.
- Season: the May–October rainy season brings heat, humidity and mosquitoes in the greenery; November to April is cooler.
What to wear at The Barnacle
This place calls for a relaxed, natural style. Light fabrics and soft colors go well with the wood, the green and the blue of the bay.
